Cheon Han-bong has been making pottery most of his life and is renowned for his tea bowls in Japan and Korea. His tea bowls command $5000.00 for 1 bowl in Japan, so highly prized are they by the Japanese that many buyers come directly to the studio in Korea. Choosing their pieces even before they have been unloaded from the kilns.

Once unloaded Mr. Cheon immediatly destroys all that do not meet his strict standards of perfection. Sometimes destroying as much as 40% of the finished fired pieces.

Cheon Han-bong takes a break after unloading the kilns.
