Burmese fisherman are pulling up the huge net after many hours of trawling the water. This boat is a trawler and after dropping the nets it will trawl the waters for around 5 hours before bringing the net up with around 10,000kg of fish.
These fisherman are employed by the captain because they are cheaper than Thai fisherman and are brought to this area by fixers or middle men who link them up with work inside Thailand. But now returning to Burma would be very dangerous for them so most stay in Thailand working illegally and hoping they don't get caught by Thai authorities.
